LOUISIANA’S RECOVERY

WE GOT POWER BACK YESTERDAY AFTER 7 DAYS WITH OUT POWER DUE TO HURRICANE LAURA. MY SON’S CAME TO OUR RESCUE THE NEXT DAY. WE ONLY HAD DAMAGE TO TREES BUT HAVEN’T CHECKED ROOF. WE LIVE IN NORTH LOUISIANA AND WE HAD ALMOST A CAT 2 STORM HERE. WE HAD NO IDEA HOW TO PREPARE FOR A HURRICANE NOT FAR FROM THE BORDER OF ARKANSAS. THE STORM WAS SUPPOSE TO GET TO US DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS IN THE DARK. IT KEPT SPINNING AT THE COAST AND CAME IN WITH A FORCE AND FAST. WHEN IT GOT 8:00 AM WE WERE GETTING WORRIED BECAUSE THE STORM HAD NOT BROKE UP MUCH. THE WEATHER MAN TOLD US THAT WE WOULD GET 70-80 WINDS AND EXPECT THE WORSE. THE THREE OF US GATHERED IN THE DEN TO WAIT. I’VE TOLD YOU THAT I AM A CHRISTIAN SO I WENT TO THE DOOR AND OPENED IT UP ENOUGH TO PRAY FOR THE LORD TO PROTECT OUR HOME AND PROPERTY. I STOOD THERE PRAYING TILL THE WINDS COMING TOWARDS OUR HOME FROM THE NORTH WOULD BACK OFF. TODAY, I SAW WHAT THE WINDS AT THE EDGE OF THE PROPERTY DID TO A TREE. IT SPLIT IT DOWN THE MIDDLE AND LAID IT OUT FOUR DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. ONE PART OF IT TOOK OUT PART OF OUR FIG TREE. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE REST OF THE PROPERTY IN THE WOODS. OUR HOME WAS SPARED AND ALL VEHICLES AND BUILDINGS ON THE PROPERTY. THAT DAY WHEN I SHUT THE DOOR, I WENT TO THE OTHER DOOR AND TRIED TO OPEN IT. I THOUGHT I WAS NOT UNLOCKING IT. THEN I TRIED AGAIN AND WHEN I OPENED IT THE DOOR NEARLY GOT SUCKED FROM MY HANDS. BOTH DOORS WERE ANOINTED WITH OIL AND THE CHAIRS WE WERE SITTING IN. I PRAYED OVER EACH OF US AND WE PRAYED. WE SAT DOWN AND WAITED TILL IT HAD PASSED US. NO POWER AND THE RADIO I HAD WITH BATTERIES WOULD NOT WORK SO WE WERE LIMITED ON WHAT WAS GOING ON. THE WINDS BLEW ON AND OFF FOR HOURS. THE TEMPERATURE WAS HOT BUT OUR HOME HOLDS THE COOL PRETTY GOOD. MY SON THE NEXT DAY BROUGHT US A GENERATOR TO COOL ONE ROOM WITH THE BATHROOM AND CLOSET. THE TV DIDN’T COME ON TILL THE NEXT DAY. WE WERE IN THE HEAT BACK AND FORTH THE NEXT DAYS TRYING TO USE SOME OF THE FOOD TO COOK ON THE GRILL OUTSIDE. SO NOW WE ARE BROUGHT FROM A HOME WITH ALL THE BEST WAYS OF LIVING TO SURVIVING. WE NOW DIDN’T HAVE BUT 1/4 TANK OF GAS AND THE NIGHT BEFORE GOT TWO BAGS OF ICE. ICE AND GAS WAS BROUGHT TO US BY OUR SON TO KEEP US TAKEN CARE OF. NOW THE HEART WARMING PART OF THIS IS MY SON WAS TAKING CARE OF HIS FAMILY WITHOUT POWER AND HIS WIFE’S GRANDFATHER. TRYING TO FIND GENERATORS FOR HIS LOVED ONES TO KEEP THEM COOL, FED AND SAFE. HE ALSO IS OVER PART OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TAKING CARE OF HIS MEN KEEPING UP THE TRUCKS. MY OTHER SON WAS WORKING LONG HOURS FOR THE SAME PARISH CLEANING UP THE TREES AND HELPING PEOPLE. THE THIRD PERSON WITH US WAS OUR GREATGRAND CHILD AND YOU CAN ONLY IMAGINE KEEPING A 4 YEAR OLD OCCUPIED IN SUCH A SMALL AREA. WE DID GET UP EARLY IN THE MORNING WITH IT COOLER AND COOKED EARLY OUTSIDE TO EAT. KEEPING THE CHILD WAS THE HARDEST PART. SO I’M ENDING THIS WITH THE REST OF THE STORY OF THE SON HELPING SO MANY PEOPLE. HIS 4 YEAR OLD ONE OF THE MORNINGS THAT HE STARTED OUT TO HELP HIS CHILD CAME RUNNING OUT SAYING DADDY DON’T LEAVE I’M AFRAID YOU ARE GOING TO DIE PLEASE DON’T GO. HE STAYED AND TALKED TO THE CHILD TO TRY AND ASSURE THAT HE WOULD BE OKAY. HE LEFT THEN DROVE DOWN THE ROAD NOT FAR FROM HIS HOME ON A CALL. THERE WAS A TREE THAT HAD FALLEN ON A VEHICLE WHERE HE HAD TO CUT THEM OUT OF IT. HE LOOKED AND THERE WAS HIS PASTOR FROM HIS CHILDHOOD IN THE VEHICLE. EVERYONE WAS OKAY BUT WENT TO GET CHECKED ANYWAY. DID THE LORD WARN THIS CHILD OF DANGER TO HER FATHER TO MAYBE SAVE HIS LIFE. BOTH ARE CHRISTIAN MEN SERVING THE LORD. ONE AS A PASTOR AND THE OTHER SAVING PEOPLE’S LIVES. MY OTHER SON WAS HELPING TO CLEAR UP THE PARISH THAT HE WORKED IN. TAKING TREES OFF THE ROAD AND CLEARING DEBRIS FROM AREAS THAT WERE DANGEROUS. THE WEATHER DURING THIS TIME HAS BEEN EXTREMELY HOT SO IT HAS BEEN HARD ON ANY OTHER THEIR WORKERS IN THIS AREA. MY SON WAS KEEPING THE VAN COOL FOR THE WORKERS WHEN HIS CREW BEGAN TO HOLLER TO MOVE THE VAN FAST. DON’T ASK OR LOOK DRIVE FAST FORWARD. THE VAN JUST GOT BY FAR ENOUGH BEFORE A TREE FELL WHERE THE VAN HAD BEEN. THE LORD SPARED ANOTHER ONE OF MY CHILDREN. THE CREW AND MY SON WERE ALL SAFE. ALSO ANOTHER MIRACLE OF A FRIEND OF MINE HAPPENED. I HAD TALKED TO HER THE NIGHT BEFORE HER POWER CAME BACK HOME. IT WAS ALMOST 2 DAYS AND I COULDN’T REACH HER. WHEN SHE CALLED, SHE TOLD HER STORY OF THE LORD SAVING HER LIFE. SHE HAD GONE TO THE STORE IN TOWN FOR FOOD AND MEDS. THE HEAT INDEX HAS BEEN REALLY HOT. AFTER LEAVING THE STORE, SHE GOT INTO HER VEHICLE TO TURN ON THE VEHICLE AND PASSED OUT. HER DAUGHTER GOT WORRIED WHEN SHE DIDN’T RETURN ON TIME. SHE CALLED A FRIEND TO COME GET HER TO GO TO THE STORE AND CHECK ON HER. SHE HAD LEFT HER PHONE AT HOME. WHEN SHE GOT TO THE STORE , HER MOTHER WAS SLUMPED OVER THEIR STEERING WHEEL, FOAMING AT THE MOUTH. THEY CALLED 911 AND THEY GOT HER BACK WHERE SHE COULD GO HOME. I ASK HER HOW DID SHE SURVIVE IN THAT HEAT AND WHY DIDN’T SOMEONE FIND HER. SHE TOLD ME SHE HAD PARKED OVER IN A SHADY PLACE THAT WAS QUICKER AND EASIER TO GET IN HER VEHICLE. SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DIED BUT THE LORD WAS WITH HER AND PROTECTED HER. PEOPLE IN THIS AREA STILL DO NOT HAVE POWER BACK ON.

FOR THOSE THAT ARE STILL OUT OF POWER, I PRAY THAT YOUR POWER IS RESTORED SOON AND WE GET OUR STATE BACK TO GOING AGAIN.

OUR COUNTRY IS GOING THROUGH BAD TIMES. IF THERE WAS EVER A TIME IN YOUR LIFE TO GET RIGHT WITH THE LORD IT WOULD BE NOW. I PRAY THAT YOU WILL GET SAVED AND PRAY FOR THIS COUNTRY AND JOIN OUR FIGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY TO GET BACK TO HOW AMERICA REALLY WAS.

THY WILL BE DONE

Thy Will Be Done

This that I am writing to you all, I guess is to tell you that somewhere along the line something in my prayer life changed. I believe in Jesus Christ and He is my Saviour from this evil world. Years ago when I was brought into the Bowman family it was chosen by the Lord for me to be there. I remember early on in my life that mother was sick a lot. She had something that caused her to get sick a lot. She was strong and you never knew how much pain she suffered. She was one of the bravest women that I have ever met. I always prayed and cared for her growing up. It was just something that I did without thinking. I always prayed in my life to the Lord for Him to heal whoever I was praying for. As time passed, I would start hearing the prayers of others “Thy Will Be Done”. I would get upset a little thinking that wasn’t it the Lord’s Will that everyone be healed? Then after several close Christian friends of mine had passed away and other upsetting things in my life were going on, I thought maybe my praying was wrong. It is the Lord’s Will that everyone be healed from sickness or He would not have died on that cross. He has risen and the Holy Spirit is here to dwell in His children. Through a lot of illness in the past year, tonight it hit me that when I said, “Thy Will Be Done”, I had lost something.

What I lost was my believing that the Lord would heal or help others. I watched what the Lord did for mother several times that were miracles after miracles were prefornedth. I believe that it is important that you pray and believe that the Lord will answer your prayers because He will. The night that mother went to be with Jesus, it was her time to go with Him and He took her home with Him. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with saying it but don’t forget to believe He will heal or answer your prayers. The Lord has unconditional love for all of us. I’ve seen so much in my life, emotional, physical, pain of others and myself. I do not believe the Lord will watch the destruction of this world much longer. So if you are thinking tonight about what you need to do about your life, then get right where you are and except Jesus as your Saviour repent from your sins and saved sinners that stayed from the Lord, repent and ask for forgiveness. Then look to the ones who have that unconditional love that the Lord has given them for your guidence along with the Lord. There is nothing that you can’t be forgiven for and move forward right then in your life.

So my prayers from now own will go back to believing that the Lord will answer my prayers and if He takes some one home, then that was His Superior Knowledge of the future for that person. That then is or was the Will of the Lord. Don’t stop believing.

None of us know what the future is going to be and is so devastating to think of each and everyone of you of what you might be going through. Don’t stop believing and if you do not know Jesus then find out. Be safe and stay close to the Lord or find Him.

AS SOMETHING ELSE WAS MORE IMPORTANT TO ME

BUT I’M SO GLAD IT’S FINISHED.
BYE, JUST CALL ME BACK
I’LL BE AT HOME.”

AS I SAT AT MY COMPUTER
I ONCE AGAIN CALLED HIM AT HOME,
NO ANSWER COULD I GET ON THE PHONE
FROM THAT OLD MAN THAT I DEARLY LOVE.

THEN I SAW A SHADOW
OF SOMETHING BY MY SIDE,
AND A FEELING THAT RAN MY BLOOD COLD.
I TURNED OFF THE COMPUTER
AND LEFT THE ROOM,
LATER TO RETURN TO WORK ON MY BOOK
THAT WE HAD BEEN SHARING TOGETHER.
I TRIED TO CALL HIM UPON THE PHONE
I GUESS HE’S GONE,
MAYBE GONE TO EAT
CAUSE IT’S CHURCH NIGHT.

NO ANSWER AGAIN.
WHERE COULD HE BE
WHY THE GRANDBABY IS SICK,
AND JUST EARLIER TODAY YOU HAD CALLED TO SEE
IF SHE WAS OKAY OR NOT.

NOW IT’S GETTING LATE
NOT AT YOUR FRIENDS,
AND COULDN’T BE AT THE LAKE
IT’S GETTING TO LATE, IT’S GETTING TOO LATE.

WHERE ARE YOU OLD MAN?
I CAN’T FIND YOU
I DON’T KNOW WHERE YOU ARE,
GARY GET UP
CAUSE DAD HAS NOT CALLED.
WE NEED TO SEE
I DON’T KNOW WHY,
HE WOULD JUST NOT CALL
I JUST CAN’T LET THIS BE.

WELL WE FOUND HIM THAT NIGHT
HE HAD TAKEN A FALL,
DON’T REALLY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED
EXCEPT FOR WHAT HE HAD SAID,

HELLO FRIENDS

WELL I’M BACK AND SAFE SO FAR. PRAY THAT ALL OF YOU ARE SAFE. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OR ANY OF MY PAST RELATIVES EXPERIENCED THIS TYPE OF THING, EXCEPT THE 1918 FLU. MY GREAD-GRANDFATHER USED A BANDANA AROUND HIS MOUTH AND NOSE WITH VICK UP HIS NOSE. WALKED DOWN THE ROAD AND NEIGHBORS ASK HIM WHAT HE WAS DOING. HE REPLIED THAT HE WAS GOING TO HELP THE SICK AND BURY THE DEAD. HE WAS A CHRISTIAN MAN AND I’M SURE PRAYED FOR THIS SITUATION AND MANY MORE THROUGH HIS LONG LIFE HERE ON EARTH. I’M JUST TELLING YOU THINGS IVE HEARD RECENTLY. WE HAVE BEEN ON STAY AT HOME SINCE LAST YOU HEARD FROM ME HERE. I’M SO SORRY AND PRAY FOR ALL OF YOU AND MY OTHER SITES AND SOCIAL MEDIA.

FEELINGS

OK IT’S 15 DAYS LATER AND I’M OVERWHELMED. I’M HUMAN AND A CHRISTIAN. I KNOW THAT JESUS CHRIST IS MY SAVIOUR AND WHEN I LEAVE THIS EARTH, I WILL MEET HIM IN A BETTER PLACE. I’VE BEEN JUST BEFORE THIS NIGHTMARE HAPPENED MAKING CHRISTIAN VIDEOS. YOU CAN GO TO YOUTUBE UNDER BETTY BOWMAN. I INVITE YOU TO GO THERE. I KNOW A LOT OF YOU ARE OUT IN THE PUBLIC HELPING OTHERS AS MY FAMILY IS DOING. MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO YOU ALL. IF YOU HAVE A WAY OF REACHING OUT THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA TO GIVE AN ENCOURAGEMENT OR ANY HAPPINESS TO SOMEONE, THEN DO IT. THE OLDER GENERATION SAW SOMETHING WAS GOING TO CHANGE BUT NEVER THIS. IT’S LIKE WE STEPPED BACK TO TIMES EVEN BEFORE I WAS BORN. OK, I TURNED 67 THIS YEAR. I JUST LET DOWN THE VANITY WALL. WELL TOMORROW, I WILL BE MARRIED TO MY HUSBAND 48 YEARS. I HAD PLANS FOR A LOVELY DINNER, LISTENING TO A FRIEND PLAY THE PIANO, EATING A SEAFOOD MEAL OVERLOOKING THE RIVER. I PLANNED A FEW MONTHS BACK AND BOUGHT MY EASTER DRESS, SHOES, BUT HADN’T GOT THE HAT YET. YES THIS SOUTHERN LADY STILL WEARS A HAT ON EASTER. SO THIS HAPPENS. WELL A SOUTHERN LADY ALWAYS HAS A PLAN B. I KNOW AN ANGEL FOOD CAKE THAT I WILL MAKE TONIGHT WILL BE IN THE PLANS. MEAL IS NOT DECIDED YET. OK LADIES YOU HAVE THE TIME TO DO SOMETHING MAYBE YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO BUT HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO. THEN DO IT. I PRAY FOR THOSE THAT ARE SICK AND FIGHTING THIS THING. FAMILY HELP EACH OTHER. IF YOU HAVE A WAY TO VIDEO CHAT THEN DO IT. MY HEART IS BREAKING AND IT PARALYZES ME EVEN WITHOUT THE DISEASE. I PRAY YOU CAN GET ME TODAY OR TONIGHT. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW JESUS THEN GET THAT RIGHT.

BE ABLE TO SEPERATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD, WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD.

WE ARE ALL SINNERS. EITHER WE ARE SAVED SINNERS GOING TO HEAVEN OR WE ARE
UNSAVED SINNERS GOING TO HELL. I’M A SAVED SINNER AND NOT AFRAID TO SHARE THE
GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.

PRAYERS FOR THE WORLD

WE ARE STAYING OUT OF THE PUBLIC UNTIL THIS PASSES. I KNOW THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE AFRAID OF WHAT ALL IS GOING ON. FEEL FREE TO GO TO southernladyartist.com in blog section of Inspirational Articles. You can go to the sermons of the church or mine. I don’t think anyone knows what to expect but you will find comfort in the sermons in the ones of the church. Those are my pastor’s sermons and he loves to preach about Jesus. At this time Jesus can give you comfort. If you do not know Jesus as your personal Saviour then you can find out in these sermons. Know that I’m praying for you all. I pray tonight that you all are safe and recovering if sick right now. I will try and get back online soon.

PHILIPPIANS BOOK OF JOY Philippians 4:17-20 KJV 17.Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. 18.But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. 19.But my God shall supply all your need accordings to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20.Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. They gave on their own. It was a sacrificial giving like making a deposit in our account. God saw giving to others and He was well pleased. Matthew 6:20 KJV 20.But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: Doing for others as a Christian gives you rewards in heaven. 1)Giving to others is pleasing to God and an acceptable sacrifice. Before Jesus died on the cross, the smell of animal sacrifice was pleasing to God for your sins. Romans 12:1 KJV 1.I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Living sacrifice. Spiritual act of worship. God sacrificed His Son. 2)Promises meets all your needs. God is the great provider. He will, can and is more than able to meet your needs. Make sure He is your personal God. What ever the need He can provide. Need hope, peace, relief from depression, renewals of self-esteem, and financial help. God will provide. 3)Resources. Meet needs to His riches there is no limit on Him at all. With God all things are possible. Got to believe that God can do it. 4)Great mediator. God does nothing apart without Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 KJV 5.For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; No access to God without the blood of Jesus. Romans 6:23 KJV 23.For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. You have instant access to God if you are in Christ Jesus. Talk to God through Jesus. Conclusion: Do you have time to accept the gift of eternal salvation from Jesus Christ? If Jesus would die on the cross for our sins and for us to be able to be in heaven one day then accept Him as your Lord and Saviour. Then give the gift of your testimony and start doing what God wants you to do for others in your life.
